Wide open spaces, western landscapes and detailed images of the people who work and ride the land, is what inspired Scott's art work. The spirit of the West is still alive and he tries to capture it in each of his pieces. Sometimes this stunning beauty of the West is captured in a detailed study of a worn book and spur; other times in rodeo action or a working cowboy. Scott works mostly with acrylic paint on either paper or canvas. Texture, color, composition and detail are important aspects of his work, using both a heavy and light application of paint.
