Bristlecone Pine Log Furniture

Bristlecone Pine Tree

Bristlecone Pines are a small group of pine trees that are thought to reach an age far greater than that of other living organisms, up to nearly 5,000 years.

They are native to Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah and California. Because of cold temperatures, dry soils, high winds, and short growing seasons the trees grow very slowly. The wood is very dense and resinous, and thus resistant to invasion by insects, fungi, and other potential pests.

The branches of older trees tangle into the most spectacular shapes. The wood has a beautiful warm color and unique texture. This is why the artist David Spiesman chose Bristlecone Pine to create his custom log furniture.

David Spiesman, creator of Bristlecone Pine Log Furniture. Throughout the years, David has created stunning pieces of rustic furniture using Bristlecone Pine. His furniture catalog includes rustic log Adirondack beds, sofas, dining tables, pool tables, coffee tables, barstools and log mirrors; all hand-made for customers to specification and design of their choice. Each piece is heirloom quality, and made to remain with the customer for generations.

The Home Collection Catalog also includes a variety of rustic home decor accents, such as rustic wooden lamps, teepee lamps, unique wooden crosses and western artwork beautifully framed in solid wood to complement the interior of your lodge or western style bedroom.

David has designed also a custom Buffalo Bedding Collection that includes a Buffalo Leather/Cowhide Bedspread and Fringed Cowhide Shams, a perfect fit for the Bristlecone Pine Log bed.
